‘Merry-Go-Round’ is absolutely everything you could ask for from an indie rock song. It has the booming drums, the lyrics that could have half the fans screaming at the top of their lungs on top of shoulders at festivals, and the other half having a lovely dance in a club, the song just fits!
Fans of Catfish and the Bottlemen should keep an eye on this young man, because the rocking solos are somewhat reminiscent, but in no way copied, I would actually argue they’re better.
Vocally, this is all you could ask for. A little bit of edge to the lyrics as the chorus is repeated after a rocking solo!
I felt like I was stuck in a ‘Merry-Go-Round’ listening to this track because I kept playing it over and over again, and you will too if you hit the play button below!
