“The world is full of lonely people”, has a truer quote come out this year? I think not. 

I was overjoyed when Edel sent me this song as from the first listen I just knew it was absolutely fantastic. As with many things, first impressions are vital and the first impression you get from this song is an 80’s aesethic full of infectious guitar riffs and licks, rocking drums, a groovy synth lead and then some immaculate vocals. 

I would like to focus in on the vocals for an extra moment. The high-pitched, delicate nature in which Edel sings is irresistible. The way each word and every note is nurtured to perfection give this song an extra edge. ‘Lonely People’ also blends musical genre’s together, and is a song I can see bringing different walks of life together to vibe along to this.
