The Wombats release brand new track alongside announcement of a tour and fifth studio album

‘If You Ever Leave I’m Coming With You’ is the second single from The Wombats upcoming studio album ‘Fix Yourself, Not the World’.

As BBC Radio 1’s Future Sounds Hottest Record in the World, the track brings a vibrant energy, discussing the issues that came with interpersonal relationships throughout the course of pandemic. A stark contrast to the more mellow ‘Method to the Madness’, this track only further heightened my excitement for album number five. ‘You know I’ll do whatever you want me to / throw a banquet in a moshpit’ and ‘stuck to the gum that’s stuck on your shoe’ bring just a taste of the off the wall lyrics I have always loved the band for.

With the new single came the announcement of their next album ‘Fix Yourself, Not the World’ (an apt name in the current climate) set for release on January 7th 2022. Discussing how the recording of the album was a pinnacle moment in their career. The bands Twitter talks of how they have ‘explored new genres, and pushed themselves further than ever musically’.

Their ‘All the Hits! Tour’ also kicks off in April 2022, a five date arena tour including dates in London, Cardiff and even a homecoming Liverpool date. Tickets are on sale on 20th August 2021.

You can stream the new track below, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for their next release!
