The second single from Candids upcoming EP ‘Clarity’ (due to release on the 7th June) is here and it’s nothing short of an absolute banger. ‘The Feeling’ is something we’re all chasing and I firmly believe that Candid have somehow bottled that up and provided us with three minutes and fourteen seconds of said feeling.
The main riff is infectious and just outright massive, I can see this being belted out at festivals all over the country, it would sit right at home on any main stage whether it be the Pyramid Stage or main stage at a festival like Kendal Calling.
I’ve already been hearing via multiple sources on social media that this tune has become a centrepiece of Candid’s live shows and that doesn’t surprise me what so ever. As soon as that chorus kicks in with Rob’s soaring vocals and the band thrashing through that riff, I can instantly see a sea of people crashing together and jumping around like tomorrow doesn’t exist.
I’ve been fortunate enough to talk to Rob from the band about the upcoming EP in which he described ‘The Feeling’ as ‘An angst filled observation of modern life, we are all so desperately chasing something we can’t have’. He also goes on to say that the ‘The Feeling is an unstoppable force of nature’ — I for one can’t disagree with that self-assessment what so ever.
Candid are clearly very confident about the songs on ‘Clarity’, and so they should be! They’ve not given us any reason not to believe in what this band can achieve, listen to the tune below!
