Exploding onto the scene, BÖHMEN have ushered a strong sampling of their musical volcano with an eruption seeming imminent. With radio play from BBC Introducing in both Worcester and Shropshire, the Manchester four piece are already solidifying their sound with three singles and the latest addition ‘Too Soon’ is no anomaly.
The opening riff angers a climatic verse, a fusion of pop punk meets grunge fuelled with disdain. Lead singer Archie Austin sputters ‘get my fucking name out of your mouth’, not just a rockstar name but the attitude also. The tracks lugs the listener through the intimate toxicity of a tumultuous and toying relationship echoed through addictively racing riffs. Flaring into the chorus, the rhythmic adjustment feels
anthemic and Royal Blood reminiscent- a bona-fide head banger. Breaking down in the middle eight the band prepare to flaunt their skill before tempering into an instrumental chaos that feeds back into the detonation of the final chorus.
BÖHMEN recently filled out a packed hometown slot at the iconic Manchester ‘Deaf Institute’. And if the wall to wall rage rammed into this song is anything to go by, you wouldn’t want to miss the next one, with UK tour dates announcing on the horizon. Strap yourself in for the joyride and listen below.
