Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, and Strokes fans, this is a new band to add to your radar!!!
Monday’s Problem’s debut single draws inspiration from bands like The Killers and Arctic Monkeys, and it is a great thing. This blend of influences creates a dynamic and captivating listening experience that pays homage to the bands that came before them while carving out their own sound, adding a familiar yet fresh dimension to their sound. From a band only formed in September 2023 they are truly a sound to be heard and appreciated. Adding to their Manchester predecessors like The Stone Roses, and The Courteeners, their sound is adding to an already long and impressive list of music from the area. The song exudes a powerful indie rock energy, Reminding us of songs like ‘Arabella’ and ‘Somebody Told Me’ This song sounds like a great night out, leather jacket and cigarette, which is something I feel has been lacking in more recent indie rock releases.
‘Black and White’ seems to scratch an itch that we have all been waiting for, and I cannot wait to see what they have in store! A truly pulsating track this song forces its listener to dance along in a way that makes it difficult to not enjoy ‘Black and White’ is a dynamic blend of infectious melodies, spirited vocals, and compelling guitar riffs that immediately grab the listener’s attention. With this new single, Monday’s Problem are presenting themselves as a promising force in the indie rock scene, capturing the essence of youthful energy and musical creativity, creating a compelling balance between introspection and unrestrained energy.; affirming themselves as a band to watch in the indie rock scene, and leaves listeners eagerly anticipating what the future holds for this promising young group. The infectious chorus of “a pretty girl in black and white” has ingrained itself in my mind, relentlessly humming it throughout the day, Monday’s Problem has created a persistent and captivating rhythm that is impossible to ignore.
The band’s future looks incredibly promising, and it is clear why. This song is like donning a sleek leather jacket and bold red lipstick for a night out – it exudes confidence and allure. It is the musical equivalent of making eye contact with a captivating stranger, leaving an indelible impression that lingers long after the encounter. Most importantly, it is a pure, unadulterated delight from the first note, instantly drawing the listener in with its irresistible charm.
