The latest single from Southeast London’s Kudre, a three-piece alt-rock group, ‘My Design,’ is an open and sincere look back. Their music, which draws influence from a wide range of bands, tackles grim, realistic subjects in life. One could characterise their music as visceral, primal, and intense. Kudre is currently performing live and can be seen at a number of locations in London.
‘My Design’ is a sincere contemplation of the innate flaws in human nature. ‘Mistakes are part of my design’ is echoed throughout the chorus, perfectly capturing the concept at hand. The track was composed and recorded at Brixton Hill Studios in a single day due to financial restrictions. The timeline’s limitations give the song a raw, chaotic energy that echoes the theme of accepting our inherent defects. You won’t want to miss this alternative-rock anthem.
Inspired by groups like Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nirvana, Kudre draws influence from funk rock to grunge. The band is redefining modern punk music, as evidenced by the powerful bass tones and reverberating voices in ‘My Design.’ ‘My Design’ is a track that is infused with rage, fuelled by fire. The tune features crashing drum beats and is filled with emotion; it’s everything you would want from an anthemic punk hit. Kudre is poised to make a major impact on the punk music scene. This one’s meant for Slamdunk’s main stage. On August 17, Kudre will be celebrating the release of their next album, ‘Red Room,’ at Two Palms in Dalston joined by a number of guests, including DJ Heshy, for the venue’s after-party.
