Adam Thomas Hughes has made his way into the indie scene this week, releasing his debut
single ‘The Long Way home’ and what an amazing way it was to kick off his career. The young 18-year-old singer songwriter has received great reviews from his live shows after making a start with gigging in 2023 across Merseyside and the Northwest. Performing his newly released single ‘The Long Way Home’ at Newton Music Festival in front of 3000 people, he has received positive reviews from fellow upcoming artist such as The K’s and Alex Spencer.
‘The Long Way Home’, recorded at Dusk till Dawn studios by Luke Owens, has a brilliant instrumental with Will Crump on bass, backing vocals and lead guitar and Dan Bretherton on the drums, that perfectly accompanies Adam’s captivating vocals. The lyrics of this song dive into the feelings a boy goes through when the girl he loves chooses a different direction. For fans of bands such as Sam Fender, The 1975 and Catfish and the Bottlemen this is definitely not a song you’re going to want to miss out on, providing a very similar vibe to all of them.
This is just the start for Adam Thomas Hughes and if his debut single is anything to go off
then we are in for a treat.
