Tune In With Keira : 9th October 2024

Let me be frank, it’s been hard to keep up with the amount of music news we’ve been gifted this week. We’ve had new teasers from the likes of Inhaler and Sam Fender, tour announcements from Lottery Winners, Rizzle Kicks, Stereophonics and so many more!

Inhaler : Third Times The Charm

A hectic start to the week with the group clearing all social media leaving fans filled with excitement and anticipation for what was to follow. Eli Hewson, Josh Jenkinson, Ryan McMahon, and Rob Keating, the members of the Dublin band, have deleted all of their previous posts from their official Instagram account and shared an Instagram reel featuring the four rock stars in Los Angeles and New York City talking about their new music and giving fans a sneak peek at what might be coming soon.

In one image, Hewson is shown performing a piece while strumming an acoustic guitar on a rooftop at night, while in another, the band is seen performing live in a studio. “Where we’ve been these last few months,” the post’s caption says, “Third times the charm.” New music comes surprisingly quickly following their last release, 2023’s ‘Cuts & Bruises’.

Sam Fender : Mastered and Complete

Work on Sam Fender’s latest album is complete. The 30-year-old singer-songwriter has declared that the follow-up to his critically acclaimed, Seventeen Going Under is complete and been ‘mastered’. The Geordie singer posted a collection of images and videos from the record’s production to Instagram with the caption, ‘mastered x.’

The video and image release features Fender hanging his guitar around his neck, the recording studio, Johnny Blue Hat, his saxophonist, Adam Granduciel, the keys for The War On Drugs, and live footage of Fender performing. The news was released shortly after the singer took to his Instagram Story to reveal a sneak peek at a new tune. I could burst with excitement for new Fender music; no one could be more delighted than me.

Stereophonics : Stadium Anthems

The UK and Ireland leg of Stereophonics’ ‘Stadium Anthems’ tour is scheduled to begin in the new year. The Welsh rock legends’ first tour in three years will begin in Belfast and end with a massive homecoming performance at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Special guests for the tour are yet to be confirmed.

Stereophonics will play a number of massive venues during the ‘Stadium Anthems’ tour, including Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park as part of Summer Sessions, Dublin’s St. Anne’s Park, Virgin Media Park, Finsbury Park, and Huddersfield’s John Smith’s Stadium. They’re additionally anticipated to perform alongside Justin Timberlake and Sting headliners at Isle Of Wight Festival 2025.

It’s set to be huge so make sure you get your tickets ASAP!

The Sherlocks announce 2025 tour

The tour announcements keep on coming. A 2025 tour of the UK and Europe by The Sherlocks is scheduled to begin in the spring of next year. The band, which consists of Trent Jackson, Alex Procter, and brothers Kiaran and Brandon Crook, will start their live tour on April 23 at Trix in Antwerp. The group will then continue on to other European cities, such as Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Amsterdam, and Paris.

The Sherlocks will next travel to the UK on May 2 for a performance at NX in Newcastle, before going on to do gigs in London, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, among other cities. On May 31, they conclude their tour at Manchester’s Albert Hall. The upcoming album ‘Everything Must Make Sense!’ is scheduled for release on February 21st, and the tour is in support of it.

What Have I Been Listening To?

Hoping Maybe – The K’s : There is something so pure and beautiful about this acoustic track, it’s definitely one of my favourite tracks from the Earlestown band. Jamie Boyle’s vocals have never sounded better and the instrumentation is off the charts.

Ganni Top (She Gets What She Needs) – Nieve Ella : It’s already a legendary track amongst her fan base and is sure to become a firm favourite amongst your playlists! I have nothing else to say other than the fact it is an absolute ANTHEM

Waiting For Love – Sam Fender : Who knew we needed Sam to cover Avicii in our lives, but I’m so glad we do! An incredible cover that I will never stop listening to.

Heathrow – Catfish and the Bottlemen : I’m in my sad girl era this week but I would sell my left leg to see Van McCann and co sing this live once again. A gorgeous acoustic ballad that deserves much more recognition.
