CUSP started out as a platform for Dan Stock’s solo tracks but has since developed into a live band as well as a studio group with producer Jake Robbins. steadily growing and evolving into a band that will last a lifetime rather than just a single moment. Their powerful, anthemic, and sensitive genre-bending sound all come together flawlessly to produce something unique. Their most recent single, ‘Bright Ideas,’ is a musical departure from the three-piece’s earlier work and represents a turning point in their careers.
They have steadfastly adhered to the idea that they should pursue long-term success through a creative work ethic and cultivate their craft in the background, out of the spotlight of social media. When they can no longer keep their heads down, they have devised a strategy to start sharing their already vast music library.
Deep bass tones are complimented by a gorgeous guitar melody in the opening of the track. Enter the lead vocals, which enhance the instrumentals surrounding the song. ‘Bright Ideas’ is evidence that the group is one to watch in the British rock-pop industry due to their dynamic, daring, joyful, and character-filled sound.
It’s quite a sentimental track for the band, written at the age of 19, Dan Stock called on drummer, Jack and producer Jake to create something extraordinary. Despite a turbulent relationship with ‘Bright Ideas’, the band have a newfound love for the track and after playing it live over the past year, they’ve decided now is the time to release and we couldn’t be more grateful.
