It’s officially the first ‘Tune In’ of November! We’re not even a week into this new month and we’ve already had whirlwind of music news! So, as always, sit back and relax as I take you through what has been happening in the first week of November!
Fontaines D.C. Share New Music Video For ‘Bug’ Starring Barry Keoghan
Barry Keoghan, Franz Rogowski, Nykiya Adams, and other actors from the movie ‘Bird’ are featured in Fontaines D.C.’s latest music video for ‘Bug.’ The music video, which includes unreleased footage from the film, was directed by Andrea Arnold, who is also the director of the upcoming film, which opens in theatres in the US and the UK on Friday.
While Carlos O’Connell, the band’s guitarist, also makes an appearance in ‘Bird’, Fontaines’ music also plays a significant role in the film. Speaking on the track, O’Connell states, “In my eyes the character Bug, the tattoo ‘Bug’s Life’, Andrea’s essential and romantic worlds and the line, ‘Changed my name to promise you yea‘; when all put together make convincing, needless and conviction undeniable.”
Wunderhorse Announce Further UK Dates For 2025
Jacob Slater and Co have just confirmed their biggest headline performance to date, a one-off performance at London’s Alexandra Palace on May 29 of next year, after wrapping up a UK tour at the end of last month.
In the same week as their performance in the capital, they have now added three further shows in Manchester, Glasgow, and Birmingham. Before making stops at the O2 Academy Glasgow on May 27th and the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on May 28th, the band will begin their brief tour on May 24th at the O2 Academy Birmingham.
Noah Kahan Announced As BST Hyde Park 2025 Headliner
BST Hyde Park 2025 will feature Noah Kahan as its main act. On Friday, July 4th, the folk-pop artist will perform in what is expected to be his largest UK headline performance to date. Gracie Abrams will also join him; other members of the line-up have not yet been revealed. A part of me is hoping he’ll bring out Sam Fender for their duet on ‘Homesick’.
This Friday at 10 a.m., tickets will go on sale. Kahan is the fourth 2025 headliner to be announced, after it was announced that Jeff Lynne’s ELO will play the Great Oak Stage on Sunday, July 13th as part of their final gig at Hyde Park next year.
Chappell Roan Debuts New Country Song On America’s ‘SNL’
On Saturday Night Live, Chappell Roan presented the debut of a brand-new country song entitled ‘The Giver.‘ She published a 2011 Facebook post on Instagram, expressing her aspirations to appear on the show, saying, “I am determined to be on SNL,” ahead of her musical guest appearance.
After performing the song ‘Pink Pony Club’ from ‘The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess,’ she shocked fans by unveiling the brand-new track. The singer will perform a “fun, up-tempo country song” with a fiddle, according to a July statement from producer Dan Nigro to The New York Times.
