‘2024 Ultimate Mix’ of Band Aid’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’
In honour of the 40th anniversary of the charity Christmas single, Band Aid’s ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ will get a new ‘2024 Ultimate Mix’ version later this month. Trevor Horn produced the new version of the song, which combines all three of the vocals from the 1984, 2004 and 2014 recordings.
Stars including Sting, Ed Sheeran, Boy George, Sam Smith, George Michael, Harry Styles, Chris Martin, Guy Garvey of Elbow, Sugababes, Bono, Bananarama, Seal, Sinéad O’Connor, Rita Ora, Robbie Williams, Kool and the Gang, Underworld, and more contribute their voices to the song. Paul McCartney, Sting, John Taylor (bass), Phil Collins, Roger Taylor, Danny Goffey (drums), Thom Yorke (piano), Paul Weller, Damon Albarn, Midge Ure, Johnny Greenwood, Gary Kemp, and Justin Hawkins (guitar) make up their house band with which they will perform.
Download 2025 announce line-up with Green Day, Sleep Token, KoRn
KoRn, Sleep Token, and Green Day will be the main acts at Download 2025. For its 22nd year, the music festival will be held from June 13–15 at Donington Park, Leicestershire. First-time headliners Green Day, Sleep Token, and KoRn will be backed by an outstanding lineup that includes some of the biggest names in punk, metal, and rock.
The festival will also feature performances by Weezer, Sex Pistols, which features Frank Carter, Jimmy Eat World, Poppy, Loathe, Jerry Cantrell, and McFly. The 90 acts on the bill thus far also include Steel Panther, Meshuggah, Eagles of Death Metal, The Darkness, Spiritbox, Cradle of Filth, and Alien Ant Farm.
The Beatles earn Grammy nomination
‘Now And Then’ earns the Beatles a Grammy nomination. However, as neither John Lennon nor George Harrison added freshly recorded components to the song, they are not listed in the credits of the official nominee.
Lennon’s 1977 demo recording from the collection was used to piece together the song, which was published in November of last year. Harrison’s 1995 overdubs of guitar components were also included.
Rizzle Kicks announce first album in over 10 years
Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sulé founded Rizzle Kicks in 2008, and the group enjoyed significant popularity in the 2010s thanks to their original and distinctive style of UK rap, which combined hip-hop and pop instead of the then-emerging grime movement.
‘Competition Is For Losers,’ Rizzle Kicks’ first album in more than ten years, is now scheduled for release. Alongside the announcement was the new single, ‘New Sport.’ Their fans are having a great week!
