Inhaler has truly hit the mark with their latest track, ‘Your House,’ which draws heavily from the glam rock of the 60s and 70s, echoing classics like Norman Greenbaum’s ‘Spirit in the Sky.’ This refreshing sound could very well signal the long-awaited renaissance of 70s glam rock that music enthusiasts have been anticipating.
Shifting from their impressive sophomore album ‘Cuts and Bruises,’ this new direction seamlessly blends with the band’s effortlessly cool vibe, elevating their already striking sound to new heights. This new track showcases a maturation in their songwriting, with introspective lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners. Each lyric feels meticulously crafted, yet retains an organic rawness that is both inviting and relatable. The instrumentation experiments with various genres, incorporating elements of indie rock, pop, and even hints of electronic influences, creating a rich sonic tapest.
The production quality is top-notch, highlighting the band’s growth and attention to detail. Robert Keating’s incredibly strong bass lines within the song just seem to capture the listener from the get go, with Elijah Hewson’s haunting vocals and the accompanying melodies from the rest of the band just seem to futher prove why Inhaler are going from strength to strength.
Overall, ‘Your House’ is a bold statement that confirms their place in the contemporary music scene while leaving fans eagerly anticipating what they’ll do next, only adding to the anticpation for their upcoming album, ‘Open Wide’, due to arrive in early 2025.
