Well what a week it’s been! It’s officially ‘Tune In’ day, so get ready as I walk you through the most important music news from around the world!
Primal Scream Cover Lana Del Rey
The Lana Del Rey song ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.’ has been covered by Primal Scream. The title track from Del Rey’s 2023 album was given a dance-rock makeover by Bobby Gillespie and crew during a recent performance on Jo Whiley’s BBC Radio show, Couch Sessions.
A captivating rendition of the Lana Del Rey song from 2023 to conclude the set. Primal Scream gave the original song a faint glam-rock twist throughout the performance, and they brought in some backing vocalists with gospel influences to help with the higher registers.
Inhaler Announce 2025 North American Tour
Beginning at the end of February of the next year, Inhaler has announced a spring 2025 North American tour. Their third album, ‘Open Wide,’ is scheduled for release on February 7th and the North American tour will imminently follow.
Before travelling to locations in the US and Canada, such as Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Montreal, Houston, and Orlando, the band begins their North American tour in Toronto. Dallas is where the North American trip comes to a close.
Charli XCX Takes Over Times Square
A “surprise” mini-show by Charli XCX was held in Times Square, New York.
Charli XCX sang five songs for the brief set, which were all taken from her ground-breaking ‘Brat’ album: ‘365,’ ‘360,’ ‘Von Dutch,’ ‘Apple,’ and ‘Guess.’ The remixes of ‘365’ and ‘Guess’ from ‘Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat’ were notable performances by her.
