Before closing off 2024, Tuesday Night Whites released an early Christmas present wrapped in an indie-rock sound. ‘23’ is energetic, nostalgic and engaging!
Finalising their Hat-trick of releases, ‘23’ is the latest to be gracing streaming platforms. The track dances round the discussion of drunken nights with friends, using what I can only assume is the transportation of the ‘23’ bus. Conceptually it is something a lot of people can relate to, having fun in our adolescence and adult years in our local towns, enjoying catching up with friends, meeting new people and living freely. Lyrically, they explore the ideas of life as we grow older, with aspirations and the places or people around them changing, but upholding the same memories and experiences that they once lived months or years before. The upbeat instrumental playing in parallel with powerful vocals, the song is something you can easily sing and dance along to! With the eager buildups to the chorus, it creates an energetic and fulfilling listening experience, and allowing some breathing space in the bridge that focuses on the vocals and relatable lyrics, before kicking back into the bursting chorus for one last time.
Sharing the announcement of the release on Instagram, ‘Tuesday Night Whites’ (@tnwofficial_) were ‘Over the moon’ and claimed to ‘Put everything into making this single’ showcasing to their followers just how thrilled they are to finally release the track.
Based in Lancashire, the 5-piece indie-rock band formed in 2022, spending 2023 performing in and around Preston, later releasing their first track ‘The Renegade’. 2024 saw them performing in numerous venues mainly in the North of England, all the while releasing more music for eager fans. Taking inspiration from big names such as ‘The Snuts’, ‘Catfish and the Bottlemen’, and ’Kings of Leon’, they are sure to provide listeners with an indie-rock sound we all know and cherish.
Give ‘23’ a listen, and send some love to ‘Tuesday Night Whites’!
