Ramellos first tune, or ‘first choon’ as they have dubbed it on Spotify, has now been released, and let me tell you something, it is a debut single to remember.
Hailing from Newcastle, England, the three-piece new wave punk rockers released ‘Heedless Hearts’ on the 10th January 2025.
The song is what I would describe as a ‘slow burner’. It lures you in with a delicate lead guitar and some quiet, minimal vocals, creating an almost false sense of security of what you are about to hear, because trust me, the outcome is a lot different.
The song is gradually building all throughout. It brings in some faster paced drumming and the energy increases as you find yourself bopping your head.
Towards the back end of the tune we are treated to one of the finest guitar solos I’ve heard in a long time as Ramellos just let loose on us. I have to hear this live because I can imagine it going OFF.
I really, really enjoyed this track. For a debut single it is absolutely terrific, and I think we could have our next big breakout from the North of England.
