Based in the heart of Birmingham, The Vale are well on their way to climbing the ranks of the indie scene. Forming over a mutual love and respect for artists such as The K’s, Sam Fender, Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes, The Vale have recently released single ’54’ which is a masterfully composed fusion of inspiration.
’54’ honours the death of a loved one in the most genuine manner. The band has produced a genuinely wonderful tribute to lead singer Joe Millward’s father, who tragically passed away last year. ’54’ featured the use of his father’s guitar during recording, adding deep sentimental value to the track.
With ’54’, The Vale make it apparent that they intend to rule the indie music landscape with some of the most memorable riffs and profoundly moving lyrics. In that regard, they are a lot like The K’s, producing these athematic choruses with a far more profound significance. ’54’ is a huge, bold, attractive number. It is daring and aspirational.
If you want to immerse yourself in the live sound of The Vale, then there is no better place than a homecoming show. The Birmingham 5 piece are set to return to their hometown with a headline show at The Rainbow on the 22nd of February. Tickets are on sale now!
