Now returning to music after an extended break away from his success as a touring guitarist, Shaky once again ventures into his love for DIY music with his debut album. Showcasing the first single of this new album, Shaky has released an underwater music video for his new single ‘Quiet in the Night’.
Coming in at just under two minutes with a runtime of 1:44, ‘Quiet in the Night’ is a wonderfully energetic look into what Shaky brings to the table. Harking back to the typically indie sounds of years gone by, this single is a warm and nostalgic hit reminiscent of beloved FIFA soundtracks.
With delightfully playful guitar tracks and sing-along vocals Shaky creates an indie track that worms itself into your brain and stays there. While by no means reinventing the wheel with his nostalgic indie sound, Shaky manages to conjure up an incredibly fun sound full of character and charm that stands as a great example of the indie sounds that we love.
Acting as a brilliant return for an already accomplished musician, ‘Quiet in the Night’ and its corresponding music video show that Shaky’s time out from the music industry has not tampered his creative abilities but rather given him the space and time to return with all the playfulness and energy that are abundant in this first single. Surely a good sign for things to come, ‘Quiet in the Night’ is an exciting opener for what is likely to be a brilliant album.
