As part of War Child’s Brits Week, Kasabian were added to the lineup with the Blossoms chosen as the support act.
It was time for both the bands to hit the stage at the amazing Shepherd’s Bush Empire, after a great 30 minute set from the Blossoms the crowd were all hyped up and ready for the main event of the night from Kasabian. Opening the set with ‘Call’, a song from their latest album ‘Happenings’ it was the perfect way to get everyone jumping and prepared for a great night. With a mixture of their older hits and newer hits it was a great way of pleasing the whole crowd. As the set went on frontman Sergio still hadn’t lost his energy jumping about the stage as well as in the crowd and even appearing on the balcony for one of their older hits ‘L.S.F’. It had come to the end of their atmospheric 19 song set and it was time for a rendition of the bands biggest hit ‘Fire’. Despite having played it many times in their career this is always an incredible song to see live and always a great way to end a gig.
The band had left the stage leaving the crowd blown away by what they had just seen, leaving them with memories for lifetime. This was an incredible gig by a great band who never fail to put on a show throughout the entire set. A gig filled with excitement, energy and atmosphere. It also must not be forgotten what an amazing cause this was for helping to raise money for the brilliant charity War Child who hep to fund money for children affected by conflict all around the world.
