Matt Bawtree  a singer/songwriter from the south of England is releasing his new single ‘Starting Line’ on the 21st March 2025. Matt Bawtree, previously a member of ‘south by zero’ a Manchester based indie band, is now embarking on his solo career with this being his debut single.

‘Starting Line’ marks a powerful debut for Matt, using the metaphor of running to explore the emotional toll of a struggling relationship. The song’s narrative intertwines his personal experience with the sport of running, and draws parallels between the physical and emotional healing required after each setback.

The vulnerability in ‘Starting Line’ is striking, as Matt talks about the emotional exhaustion of repetitive struggles within the track.
