Chamberlane took the stage at Luton’s Hat Factory for their St. Patrick’s Day concert, delivering an unforgettable evening full of vibrant music and infectious energy.

Rooted in their Irish heritage, the band showcased a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary Irish tunes. From the very moment they launched into a power-driven cover of Fontaines D.C.’s ‘Jackie Down The Line’, the atmosphere was charged with excitement, paving the way for a truly remarkable show.

The band displayed a remarkable ability to blend genres, effortlessly moving between folk-infused melodies and rock-driven anthems. With an updated setlist from their previous sold-out shows at beloved local pub O’Shea’s, they delved into a diverse rey of songs, including Wunderhorese’s ‘Midas’, Radiohead’s poignant ‘Fake Plastic Trees’, and the iconic ‘Creep, plus Bob Dylan’s timeless classic ‘Like A Rolling Stone’.

A personal highlight for me was a heartfelt rendition of Paolo Nutini’s ‘Candy’, leaving it truly a night to remember for both band and audience. The variety in their performance showcased their exceptional musicianship, as vibrant guitar riffs and rich harmonies infused each song with depth, completely captivating everyone present.

Each member’s charisma and the band’s rapport with the audience were unmistakable, crafting an unforgettable evening that celebrated both their local and Irish heritage. Oliver Kelly and Josh McGillicuddy’s guitar work generated a rich texture, while Travis Giles laid down a solid rhythmic foundation on drums. Callum Wilkinson’s bass lines enriched the arrangements, and Luke Kelly’s powerful vocals breathed life into the lyrics. 

Having followed the band since their debut nearly three years ago, I can confidently say this was an extraordinary performance. As the gig progressed, Chamberlain’s infectious energy captivated the crowd, perfectly capturing the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.

Their ability to connect with the audience and create a festive yet intimate atmosphere made for a night to remember.
