Sleeping Together are continuing to solidify their presence in the UK indie-rock scene with their latest single, ‘Pour Me Another’. The track was created in collaboration with producer Andrea Cozzaglio and Narcissus studios in London. This is a track that is set to be a great addition to their discography.
‘Pour Me Another’ begins with a captivating guitar riff that is then met with equally captivating drum and bass, this immediately captures listeners attention and sets the tone for the track. ‘Pour me another’ balances raw emotion and polished instrumentation. The song is a true indie-rock track that has fantastic vocals and instrumentals throughout.
Lyrically, the song explores using temporary distractions such as alcohol in order to escape emotional pain. The use of lyrics used; “Is it the drink that makes me feel this way?” Was this feeling always there? Was the romance ever really there?” ; Which feels upon listening as though you are gaining an insight into an active train of thought, and brings an emotional depth to the track. This is a testament to the band’s ability to delve into themes of both emotional vulnerability and the complexities of modern living/modern relationships.
‘Pour Me Another’ demonstrates Sleeping Together’s talent, blending their signature indie-rock sound with vulnerable lyrics. The track is a testament to their evolving growth and artistry as a band and is definitely a track that will resonate with both long-time fans and new listeners alike.
The song will be both a great addition to the indie-rock genre and I’m looking forward to hearing more from them! For more info on their new track or upcoming tour dates check out their socials!
